That good green stuff – Wheatgrass!

By Simmy Sidhu
I know summer is well and truly over, the rain and wind has set in and the bulky overcoats and boots have made an appearance. During the cold days all you want is gorgeous hot food that is going to warm up every inch of you…basically no more salads and healthy foods are no longer your focus.

I am not the healthiest person in the world, I try my best but, to be honest most of the time I opt for a Toffee crisp over an apple. One thing I have found I always have time for though is a single shot of wheatgrass every morning.

Wheatgrass is a great source of nutrients to implement into your morning routine and this is why:

  • A shot of wheatgrass is the equivalent to 1kg of green vegetables
  • Optimises a healthy circulatory system
  • It is high in vitamin A, B-complex, C, E and contains amino acids
  • Wheatgrass cleanses, purifies and feeds the body by activating the white blood cells which boosts your body’s immune system
  • It is a great way to detox and cleanse your body

One little shot has so many benefits and it is an easy way to give your body that boost it needs every day.

For more information on where you can get your supply of wheatgrass shots please email thosetwogirls@outlook.com

Stay healthy!

  1. Hey Simmy, I bought wheatgrass powder a few months ago and occasionally I make a wheat grass shot (one table spoon of powder mixed with some water). It tastes awful and leaves a weird powdery feeling in my mouth... how do you make yours?

    1. Hello, thank you so much for getting in touch. I actually don't use powder at all, I use fresh wheat grass and no soil to grow it. The taste is very sweet and not to bad at all.
