Summer Loving

Summers well and truly here, thanks to the love it or hate it heat wave. So have you beautiful people been making the most of this weather? Well if you’re stuck for ideas, I’m here to help.

1.       Cocktail class – Dirty Martini

It was my birthday this month, so what better way to celebrate than getting the girls together to practise our bartending skills. Dirty martini has one the better packages for a cocktail master class, at £25.00 you get to make 2 cocktails, receive a Bellini on arrival and get food platters to share. We made a range of martinis including chocolate, passion fruit, almond and hibiscus.

2.       Outdoor cinema

I have wanted to go to a drive through or open air cinema for a while but have never managed to purchase tickets in time. So I was super happy when I booked a couple of tickets for next month at the Somerset house summer screen festival. They have a range of movies from Toy Story to Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and tickets are £18.50, so get looking and book early - http://www.somersethouse.org.uk/film. If they’re booked up you can also have a look at The Battersea Power house, where tickets are a bit cheaper - http://www.everymancinema.com/venues/thepowerofsummer/.

3.       Cabaret and Burlesque Show – Wam Bam Club

Last year the girls at work invited me along to a burlesque and cabaret show hosted by the Wam Bam Club at Café de Paris in London. Hilarious, shocking and sexy are the best words to describe the show. You will be entertained from the moment it starts. It comes with the option of dinner or a view of the show from the balcony. Definitely makes an interesting venue for a double date and an even better girl’s night out. Get booking at http://www.wambamclub.com/ or for the Café de Paris version book tickets here http://www.cafedeparis.com/cabaret-dining/.

1.       Open Air Theatre – Regents Park

One for my to do list. Regents Park has a beautiful open air theatre where they have showings of a few classics through the summer. My favourite this year is To Kill a Mockingbird, based on the amazing novel by Harper Lee, the reviews are raving already so get looking guys http://openairtheatre.com/whats-on?by=productions.

2.       Hyde Park – The Serpentine

It’s hot, you want to top up your tan and make the most of the sun, what do you do? Jump on a paddle boat and float along the serpentine. It’s perfect for a date or hanging around with your friends and family. It was one of my favourite days of last year and we topped it off with a picnic on the grass nearby. Definitely make it one your fun days this year.

3.       Shooting – The Big Shoot

I recently wrote a post called Bang Bang on my clay pigeon shooting experience. You get to use a shotgun and shoot clay pigeons from different stations. Definitely one to do with the boys! We were lucky and caught some sun and it definitely made the day better. I went to the one in Aylesbury but check out their website for other locations http://thebigshoot.co.uk/.

Hope you’ve got something booked after reading this. Let me know how your experience is and tag me in your pictures on instagram using the #ThoseTwoGirls or my username: Jaskiki.
